TWoA Annual Report 2013 - page 35

Our goals and objectives
Our Investment Plan which is negotiated
with the Tertiary Education Commission
describes our performance commitments for
each year. Our performance commitments
are the targets that we strive to achieve as
we work towards achieving our goals and the
Tertiary Education Strategy.
Measurement method
In 2010, the Tertiary Education Commission
introduced a new method for calculating
educational performance indicators (EPIs), of
course completion, qualification completion,
retention and progression. These new
measures are not compatible with our
previous measures and consequently, we
present results for the past four years only
(rather than five-year trends) in this section.
The 2013 data are interim results, as they
are subject to validation by the Tertiary
Education Commission following submission
of the final single data return in April 2014.
Comparative results
Where possible, data for 2010 and 2011 are
reported for comparative purposes. Data for
2012 shown in this report are drawn from the
final April 2013 single data return and may
vary from the interim results reported in Te
Pūrongo 2012 (which was produced prior to
the single data return).
