Improving community resources is, literally, a building block towards improving social
well-being for a community. The Trust encourages schools, sports and recreation
clubs and community groups to share resources and facilities where possible.
Strengthening the community and voluntary sector
Great work in the community requires strong and viable organisations. The Trust does
fund the management and operational infrastructure of groups. We work alongside
organisations to improve their capacity and sustainability. We encourage groups to
use accountability and evaluation as a platform for learning.
The Trust encourages collaboration between community groups and advocacy
to strengthen the community and voluntary sector.
The Trust supports community groups to develop sustainable social enterprises.
