21. Events after the balance date
Organisational Review:
In February 2014, Te Taiurungi (CEO) announced the strategic plan 2014 - 2016 of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. In order to
achieve the strategic focus areas a new structure has been proposed.
Phase 1 of the implementation of the new structure is the recruitment and appointment of the senior leadership team. This
process will commence in April 2014.
Once senior leaders are appointed, a progressive re-design of the head office functions is expected to occur and will include
a review of how subsidiary operations of Open Wānanga Limited and DynaSpeak Limited could be incorporated. This process
will be designed and implemented over the remainder of 2014. The impact on the subsidiary companies is uncertain at this
point in time and no decisions have been made regarding their future.
