RUAKURA
In September 2014 the Board of Inquiry convened
by the Environmental Protection Authority
approved the rezoning of around 500 hectares
of Ruakura land owned by TGH from ‘rural’ to
employment and residential – a key foundational
step for the long term, 50 year re-development
of this area to a live, work and play community
incorporating a logistics hub.
Since the favourable planning decision, TGH has
been working with the Hamilton City Council to
enshrine the changes in the Operative District
Plan as well as the Proposed District Plan and is
expecting to lodge the first resource consents for
light industrial usage later this year.

Supporting The City’s River Vision
Mayor Julie Hardaker and the Hamilton City

incorporate the Waikato River as an integral part
of the city’s day-to-day life. To support this vision
TGH has donated a strip of land adjoining the river,
to enable the joining-up of a proposed walkway.
