In 2012, the proportion of tauira aged under 25 years decreased by 1%
compared with 2011. This decrease is balanced by a 1% increase in the
proportion of tauira aged 25 to 39 years. The proportion of tauira aged 40
years and older remained unchanged.
The following chart shows five year trends for tauira age demographics.
Gender
As in previous years, we continued to attract a high proportion of females
to our programmes. The year saw a 2% increase in the number of females
studying with us, from 69% in 2011 to 71% in 2012.
